  • Joe's House is an online nationwide lodging resource for cancer patients and their families who must travel away from home for medical treatment.  The website lists cancer treatment centers and nearby lodging facilities throughout the country.

Missoula Community Needs Van Service:  406/542-2121

  • Must call ASAP to secure seating as vans fill quickly. 
  • Program offers door to door service for $1.00 one-way within the city of Missoula only.
  • 3 vans available, 2 of which accommodate handicapped passengers.

Bitterroot Bus Line:  406/363-7484 

  • Travels to Missoula (any specified location) from Bitterroot locations on Tuesdays only.
  • See pricing below; one-way price for adults is $12 and $9 for seniors for all departure locations.

A Helping Hand:

  • Resource guide for people with cancer published by CANCERcare.  It lists a number of national foundations & organizations that offer monies for transportation costs as well as other treatment related costs.  It is extremely useful & highly recommended.  Please ask Janice at the Guardian Oncology & Center for Wellness front desk for a copy or visit www.cancercare.org 

Cheerful Heart Incorporated:

  • Provides free non-medical services (transportation to/from doctor appointments, run errands, walk dogs, yard work) to cancer patients residing in Lake County, Montana with the exception of Seeley Lake.

Cancer Family Network:

  • Provides a healthy, supportive and educational experience for Montana families dealing with cancer.
  • CFN's website is an excellent source of local and national resources available to cancer patients.

The Patient Advocate Foundation (PAF):

  • Provides education, legal counseling and referrals to cancer patients and survivors concerning managed care, insurance, financial issues, job discrimination, and debt crisis matters. 
  • PAF's Co-Pay Relief Program provides limited payment assistance for medicine to insured patients who qualify. Call 866/512-3861 or visit www.copays.org for more information.
